For Transformation Tuesday we share Cathy's story!
Cathy started at Yellow Jacket in June of 2017, training with Coach Erin 3 times per week. She had previously done CrossFit, but after a few years of never really enjoying it, she left to find something different. She tried a couple of different things, but found nothing she really liked or stuck with. Being 48, she realized that playing tennis 2 times a week wasn’t going to cut it, as her once naturally trim & muscular physique was disappearing. She took the plunge and started personal training with Coach Erin. The first session was a shock, to say the least. She couldn’t believe how much fitness and endurance she’d lost in only 7 months. Coach Erin was was very patient and carefully planned workout to help to build her endurance and strength back up. Cathy had previous injuries that Coach Erin had to work around, but Cathy soon found that her exercises and workouts were modified to fit her needs and limitations all while being encouraged and motivated. In the 7 months that Cathy has been at Yellow Jacket, she has noticed significant changes....

This WHOLE30 challenge is for athletes who are feeling sluggish, unmotivated, low energy, craving sugar, feel out of control with eating, want to feel better, want to look better, suffering from health issues, or just want a healthy restart. This challenge is for the COMMITTED!
We're kicking off the Challenge on Sunday, October 15 at 5:00pm to discuss the details of the challenge and answer any questions. This will give you time to grocery shop and plan your meals before the actual Challenge STARTS FRIDAY OCTOBER 20. We'll also have opportunities to do measurements before the challenge starts.

What's going on around the studio in May & June!
We had a chance to chat with one of our favorite YJ couples, Simon and Jackie. Simon and Jackie have been at YJ since the doors opened last August. Simon always has a smile and Jackie always pushes us to do a little extra by suggesting we do a tabata abs at the end of our workouts. She has become known for it, so we now call tabata abs "Jakata Abs!"
They have worked hard to accomplish their fitness goals. We love their enthusiasm for fitness and their presence at the studio!...
Attention parents!! YJ is hosting a Parent's Night Out on February 14th, Valentine's Day! Please come by the studio to sign up your children and sign a waiver. We will provide pizza, so no need to worry about dinner for the kiddos! We have lots of fun activities planned, so you can enjoy a stress-free date night with your significant other! Hope to see your children on Valentine's Day!
Melany became a member at Yellow Jacket Fitness back in September 2016 and has been crushing her workouts ever since. She recently competed with the Yellow Jacket Team in the Cleans for a Cure competition at CrossFit Wrath in Tomball. She took 4th place overall with her partner Jeramy, a trainer at YJ....
Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays 12/20, 22, 27 & 29 for our YJ Kids Holiday Camp!
Grades 1-5 will meet from 12-2, and grades 6-10 will meet from 2-4. We'll focus on agility, speed, endurance and strength through fun and age-appropriate exercises and activities. We're even hoping to incorporate some Kids Yoga and Kids Zumba into a couple days!...
We're taking orders for our popular 'bug' design on tees and hoodies (unisex sizes) and womens racerback and muscle tanks.
The tee and tanks are $25, hoodies are $30 and hats are $20. All shirts are vintage black with the 'bug' design and Next Level Tri Blend, which is a super soft cotton that looks great whether you're working out or hanging out....
Happy (almost) Turkey Day from Yellow Jacket Fitness! We are truly thankful for each of our staff, clients and owners for everything you do to make YJ such a unique and special place. We also have added Thanksgiving Youth Training Camp on Monday & Tuesday from 1:00-3:00pm! Age-appropriate training and activites for grades 3-5, junior high and high school.
